Tools For Tomorrow alumnus – Ronald Reagan Elementary School, Palm Desert
I joined tools for tomorrow as a fourth grader at Ronald Reagan Elementary School in Palm Desert.
Growing up, I always strived for perfection and I always made sure every last thing that I did was perfect. This translated to every aspect of my life, and it made me incredibly nervous to apply for Tools For Tomorrow. However, after some convincing, I applied, and it made all the difference in my understanding of the arts and myself.
I learned about a variety of different art techniques that I’m still able to utilize to this day. But more importantly, I gained confidence in my creative abilities which is how I became more interested in writing and theater, which were both some of my favorite classes in high school.
Through Tools For Tomorrow, I developed important life long skills that I will take with me forever. This program is about more than art, it’s about creating confident, creative, and caring young adults.
