To Reach, Teach, and Inspire Children
Through the ARTS

Curriculum

Tools For Tomorrow utilizes a specially designed arts literacy curriculum that integrates Creative Writing, Drama, Art, and Music. The goal of this Curriculum is to provide arts literacy by teaching the fundamentals of each of the disciplines and providing a “hands on” experience that gives the children a feeling of success as they learn and create original works in each discipline.

Incorporated in this unique curriculum of musical and artistic experiences the children are introduced in dynamic and imaginative ways to famous artists, musicians and writers, as well as other cultures, times and places.

Native American Birdsongs, Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, and Night on Bald Mountain, inspire budding young artists to create their own art; the musical storytelling of Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf and Saint-Saens whimsical ballet Carnival of the Animals and Walt Disney’s Fantasia, inspire the creative imagination of children to produce art, music, poetry, plays and stories.

Recognizing that children learn what they are excited about, the emphasis is on process and hands-on experience. It is no wonder that their confidence, self-esteem, feelings of success and achievement abound when they see their creative work exhibited and admired in venues throughout the community and in a published anthology.
